Elevation keeps it temperate year-round, rarely crossing 34°C, so the heat-driven adhesive failure common in Chennai or Delhi is far less of an issue here. But the city runs two monsoons - a strong southwest one from June to September and a shorter northeast spell in October-November - and both push humidity into base-lifting territory for weeks at a stretch.

The bigger local factor is the AC-to-outdoors swing that IT-corridor life produces. Eight to ten hours a day in dry, recycled office air on the Outer Ring Road or in Electronic City dries out scalp skin and adhesive edges, and then the commute back through traffic-clogged, dust-heavy streets undoes it the other way.
