Patna sits on the Gangetic plain and gets a harsher climate swing than most cities on our list. Summers from April to June regularly cross 42-44°C with low humidity and constant dust off the plain and ongoing construction; the monsoon from July to September flips that to heavy humidity and waterlogging in low-lying pockets; winter brings cold, foggy mornings with dry air. A base and adhesive suited to one season here can fail in the next.

The dry, dusty summer is the bigger day-to-day problem for wear rather than comfort - dust settles into the hair and along the bonded edge faster than in a cleaner-air city, which means more frequent washing, and washing more often is itself a wear factor on the base. We generally recommend a slightly more durable base for Patna clients for this reason, alongside adhesive that holds through both the dry heat and the humid reversal a few months later.

For a toupee specifically, that usually means starting from a skin (poly) base — clients who part their hair and want the most undetectable scalp look, with a typical lifespan of 4–8 months of daily wear in this climate.

Where we fit a toupee in Patna

There is no studio in Patna; the business here is entirely home visits, run on corridor days rather than answering requests one at a time. The main corridors are Boring Road-Patliputra-Kankarbagh, Bailey Road-Danapur-Khagaul to the west, the older Patna City quarter along the river, and Hajipur across the Ganga.

The Boring Road-Kankarbagh belt is the busiest corridor and runs a standing weekday rota, since it covers the largest single concentration of clients - professionals, doctors and established families across Patliputra Colony, Rajendra Nagar and S.K. Puri. Bailey Road and the government-office belt around Anisabad and Gandhi Maidan get weekday daytime visits timed around office hours, with allowance for VIP movement near Sadaqat Ashram Road, which can affect access at short notice.

Patna City's older lanes around Mahendru, Gulzarbagh and Lohanipur are narrow enough that visits go by two-wheeler rather than car, and are scheduled on their own day for that reason. Danapur, Danapur Cantonment and Khagaul to the west run on a separate rota given the distance, and Hajipur across the river is covered on a fixed weekly run rather than on demand.
